The support and companionship that hospice volunteers provide makes a world of difference in the overall care we are able to deliver. Volunteers have played a vital role in hospice care since its inception in England in the early 1960s. From running errands, assisting with chores, installing ramps, or simply lending a listening ear, volunteers work directly with patients and their families. Trained volunteers help with a variety of tasks, helping patients live life to the fullest each day.
